My two week work placement at The Telegraph gave me insight into what the
field of Human Resources involves, particularly the selection processes of HR.
Currently I am a second year student at Middlesex University, studying BA Honors Human Resource Management. I wanted to gain some hands-on experience which would contribute to my studies and allow me to put into practice what I had learned in my degree.
Working at The Telegraph gave me an opportunity to further my knowledge on how to select the right candidates for a given job/placement. I dealt largely with shortlisting and came across a number of candidates that had the potential to make a great difference to the company. I also learnt more about the Editorial Graduate Programme taking place in 2015 which offers practical work experience to graduates looking to kick start their career in Journalism.
It was a great privilege to work for The Telegraph and i intend to use all the knowledge and experience I have gained in my future career in Human Resources.
